Suppliers to the Army! (December 12, 2009)
We are proud to have supplied Pig Arks to the British Army this week! They are creating the Blandford Camp Community Orchard and the pigs will arrive next week to assist in clearing the ground – a partnership between the Army and a local community farm. The orchard will not just be a productive resource for the Camp community but is to be a “living” memorial to the fallen soldiers from the Royal Corps of Signals. Major Lynn Roddy is setting this project up on the back of setting up the first allotments on a military site which she is hoping will be featured on BBC Gardeners’ World in the New Year. Will add pictures of the soldiers with their pigs and arks when we receive them.
